Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Diablo VPN ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our VPN service, mobile application, and related websites (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you register for an account we collect:
- Your name and email address.
- An encrypted (hashed) password.
- A device identifier so we can manage your active sessions.
1.2 Subscription & Billing Information
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment-card details on our servers. We retain a record of your subscription plan, start date, expiry date, and price for billing and support purposes.
1.3 Connection & Diagnostic Data
To operate the VPN we process the minimum information required to route your traffic:
- The internal VPN IP assigned to your device while connected.
- WireGuard cryptographic keys associated with your device.
- Aggregate, non-personal bandwidth counters used for capacity planning.
We do not log the websites you visit, the contents of your traffic, or your DNS queries while connected to the VPN.
1.4 Device & App Information
Our mobile application may collect basic device information (operating system, app version, crash reports) to diagnose problems and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To provision and operate the VPN connection.
- To process subscriptions and prevent fraudulent payments.
- To send transactional messages such as password resets and subscription notices.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited information only with:
- Our payment processors, solely to process your subscription.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process data on our behalf.
- Government authorities, when required by a valid legal request.
4. Data Retention
We retain account and subscription information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Operational logs are retained only for the period required to operate and troubleshoot the Service and are then automatically purged.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
- Withdraw consent to specific processing activities.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
You can delete your account at any time from within the application or by contacting us at the address below.
6. Security
We protect your information using industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted VPN tunnels (WireGuard), hashed credential storage, and access controls on our internal systems. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
